When one of the City's leading investment banks asked Venuemap to find a home for London's largest investment banking conference, the scale of the brief ruled out a single venue almost immediately.
The brief
A campus-style footprint for 2,500 delegates, with hundreds of back-to-back 1:1 meetings running simultaneously over three days, multiple track sessions, a dedicated press room, breakfasts, dinners and receptions throughout, and a central catering hub handling lunch and all-day grazing. All of it had to run alongside exceptional security and a commercially structured deal.
The challenge
Two hotels, working in concert, was the only answer. But which two? Proximity, logistics, service culture and operational compatibility all had to line up, and nothing about that combination was obvious. Getting there took detailed research, site visits, and careful negotiation across the market.
The outcome
It worked well enough that Venuemap went on to secure a fixed two-year contract, with a 4% increase built in year on year.
